2005 Home & Business Showcase Recap
We had another GREAT event on Saturday, October 15th. The Showcase was a tremendous event. Attendance was steady and those that were there were pleased. The success of this event rests with our businesses having a booth and the community coming out to see what we are all up to. Many thanks to all the booth participants, the volunteers, the Showcase committee, to the Chamber board, to Mississinewa High School, to R J Baskett Middle School, banner sponsors and those that donated to the silent auction.
Thanks to the community for their support as well. If you could not or did not attend this year's event, you will have the same opportunity next year. Start planning ahead as you make your budget for 2006. No date has been selected yet, but you do need to plan ahead. You never know where your next sale or customer is going to come from. See you next year.

From the Desk of Penny Garrett
The Home & Business Showcase was held on Saturday, October 15, in the Mississinewa High School Gymnasium. Kudos to the committee and all the participants. How enjoyable it was to visit the Showcase and chat and shop. There was a flowing fountain, singing balloons, gorgeous quilts, a doghouse that could be modified for husbands, a burning fireplace, cosmetics to try, and booths to discuss your banking needs, technology needs, photography needs, motel accommodations, security and medical needs.
You could schedule a massage, plan to build a new structure or remodel an existing one. You could get blood tests, have your blood pressure taken or discuss going to college. One could have even driven away with a new car from Mike Anderson Chevrolet and have the windows tinted by Bowman Topper Sales and much, much more. I enjoyed myself and I hope you did too. If you didn't have a booth this year, make sure to put it in your budget for next year.
