Concerts in the Park

Summer is just around the corner and with summer begins our 7th season of Concerts in the Park. This year is plans to be even bigger and better with several new groups.

Our attendance has averaged over 600+ per concert. It is only with your financial support that we are able to provide the quality of entertainment that is expected. Many concert attendees are not native Grant County residents, but travel to hear the quality performers presented at Concerts in the Park.

Last season was undoubtedly our best, but also our most expensive. Unfortunately, some of our resources did not pan out and our concerts went into the RED by over five hundred dollars. Please help us retain the level of quality performances and performers that is expected from this tremendous series.

The Chamber is a hub of activity. The Corporate Art Series Chairman, Mark Storey, is screening entertainment for the 2006 Concerts. Susan Bournique, Chairman, says the Perfect Attendance Committee is beginning to brainstorm about the rewards that will soon be given students who meet the criteria.

The Annual Meeting Committee, under the direction of Nancy Hoover, is planning a fine evening - be sure to pencil in April 25, 2006. You don't want to miss this one! Mark Siegelin, Image Award Chairman, is requesting nominations for the Community Image Awards. Nominating someone takes very little time and our leaders deserve recognition for their devoted service to their community. You may download/print an Image Award Nomination Form (PDF file) or request one from the Chamber office. Winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting.

If you want to experience even greater rewards from your membership - get involved in one of these committees or throw your hat in the ring for one of the board positions. This is your Chamber and its success depends on you.
